I used to live in Ben Hill back in 1971-72. I often went to the skating ring at 3850 Stone Rd. I don't remember it being called 'Jellibeans' then, though it may have been. I just can't confirm the name, if it even had one then (I was only 13 at the time). The place was great.
Included a Google Street View pic here. The building has had substantial cosmetic renovation since I went there. Please feel free to contact me for any additional info.

Jellibeans was located on stone road right off of fairburn road which was and still is down the street from Ben Hill Recreation Center. Some of the best skaters in the ATL perfected their craft there.

Well I'm 57 and not only do I still roller skate at the rink but I inline skate on the streets in my subdivision! Only difference between now and when I was a kid is I make sure I wear knee and elbow pads now. If I'm not too old to ice skate and cross country ski, I don't know why roller skating would be any different!

Jellybeans Roller Skating Rink was located on Roswell Road in the building the Golden Budda is located in. The parking was under ground, it had a concrete floor and great sound system. Was not open to long at all before it closed and the owners moved away.

Ben Hill (Atlanta) is a predominantly black community with many black-owned businesses. The skating ring from the movie 'ATL' is based on the historic Jelly Bean Skating Rink that was once located in this community. Now closed, the movie was shot at Cascade Family Skate rink in Adamsville. Jelly Bean has closed down but however still remains Atlanta's top Skating Rings of all time. Jelly Bean is remembered as "The Master Of All Roller Rings" in Atlanta. With Cascade Skating Ring following behind. Jelly Bean is the Roller Ring that put Ben Hill on the map.
