Below are good links to state park maps. Personally, Stone Mountian, GA, is awesome. Skidaway Park in SE Georgia is good too. Jacksonville, FL has alot of good campgrounds on the beach. I am not too familiar with Alabama.

I finally remembered. Cumberland National Park in St.Mary's Geoergia is extremely cool. It is a barrier island that has a ferry trip 2 times a day. Be prepared becuase it is primitive, but awesome.

Year-round camping is a great feature of Marshall County, AL - with many of the camping sites centering around Lake Guntersville. Many of the campgrounds are privately owned and have a variety of features. The Lake Guntersville State Park is just one example. Several campgrounds are state or county operated and TVA maintains others. Camping facilities vary. Some primitive campsites are available as well as many improved ones.

Marshall County, Alabama is located in the northeast portion of Alabama. Marshall County is located 45 miles southeast of Huntsville and 65 miles northeast of Birmingham. Marshall County includes Albertville, Arab, Boaz, Guntersville and the growing town of Grant, home to Cathedral Caverns State Park, which is wonderful by the way. Each city has its own patchwork of attractions, historical sites and festivals. But the best part of all is Lake Guntersville. Great for fishing, skiing and any other fun you can think of on the water :)
