If so, where, and are there very many? I've never been there, but it seems like it would be the right climate. I've just never seen them in pictures. Thanks.

Naturally, no. On people's private property where they are put in or put in planters yes. I think Atlanta's year round climate isn't right for it besides I think the type of soil isn't what palm trees thrive in.

Palm Trees in Atlanta growing about naturally? I say NO...The main tree that grows here in Atlanta is the Southern Pine, which dominates mostly in the suburbs

The Atlanta botanical garden.

You would think that you could grow a palm tree in a place as hot as Atlanta, but for a few nights every January it gets cold enough to kill your palm tree.

There are none that I'm aware of. The only palm trees I've seen were located on private property and that was in a suburb of Atlanta.

I am one of those that mingle in this department. You can grow palm trees here but you have to plant them on the south side of a structure and close up to the structure to protect them from the north winds. There is a type of "cold weather " palm that will survive temps down into the 30's.SOuth georgia around albany and thomasville can support palm trees, but north ga you have to keep them covered or warmer.
